Often Winterset patrons and guests reflect that coming together at our event brings inspiration, refreshment, and hope. We know that the money we raised has had a significant impact in our community and it was always an honor to recognize the Outstanding Physician. Thank you for always ensuring this event was a huge success.
After a great deal of discussion, we’ve made the decision to suspend Winterset, at least through 2023. The foundation’s leadership took into consideration our health and safety concerns as well as the changing interests of younger physicians in arriving at our decision.
Thank you for your support of Winterset and the work of the Osteopathic Founders Foundation. Through our decades of partnership, we have together invested in the health of Oklahoma’s citizens and communities. The foundation’s work has continued since we were last able to gather in February 2020 with investments in the future of osteopathic medical education at OSU, critical financial support of community non-profits, and strengthening the pipeline of future physicians through academic scholarships.
We will continue working with our event producers, RumbleDrum, to consider future alternatives and hope to have a more favorable announcement regarding Winterset in the future.
